Muay Thai Corporate Team Building in Singapore

A pad-work session that gets your whole team moving, talking, and laughing in the same hour. No fighting, no experience needed, just gloves on and pads up.

23 September 2026

A Muay Thai corporate team building session at Khao Noi Gym is a 60 to 90 minute pad-work class built for groups, not a sparring match and not a fitness bootcamp in disguise. Everyone pairs up, one person holds pads while the other throws combinations, then you switch. No experience required, all gloves, pads, and hand wraps are provided, and it works for groups from around 8 people up to 40.

What actually happens in the session

Your team walks in, gets fitted with gloves and wraps, and one of our coaches runs through the basics: stance, jab, cross, a couple of kicks. This takes about ten minutes. Then everyone pairs off and starts holding pads for each other.

That last part is the whole point. Pad holding is not something you can do passively. You have to watch your partner's hands, call out when they are about to throw, hold the pad at the right height, and absorb the impact without flinching. If you are not paying attention, your partner's punch misses the pad. It is built-in accountability, and it happens naturally without anyone having to force it.

We rotate through a few combinations over the course of the session, mix in some conditioning between rounds, and finish with something everyone can do together, like a partner drill or a group finisher. By the end, the room is loud, sweaty, and a lot less formal than it was at the start.

Why is pad work better than typical team building activities?

Most corporate team building falls into two camps: sit-down activities that do not get anyone's heart rate up, or games that put people on the spot in front of colleagues. Muay Thai pad work at Khao Noi Gym avoids both problems.

  • It is physical without being competitive. Nobody is racing anyone, nobody is being scored, nobody is winning or losing. You are just working with a partner.
  • It forces real communication. You cannot hold pads well for someone without talking to them, calling combinations, adjusting your position. That conversation happens because the drill requires it, not because a facilitator is prompting it.
  • It does not embarrass anyone. There is no trust fall, no forced icebreaker, no singling people out. Everyone in the room is doing the same thing at the same time.
  • The stress release is real. Throwing punches and kicks for an hour hits differently than a workshop. People leave with actual endorphins, not just a free lunch and a name tag.
We have run this format for teams in Singapore who have tried escape rooms, cooking classes, and outdoor games before landing here, and the feedback is consistent: this is the first one where people were still talking about it a week later.

Who is this actually good for

This session works best for teams that want something active and a bit different, and who are comfortable with a bit of noise and sweat. If your team is up for that, Muay Thai at Khao Noi Gym delivers an energy that most standard team building formats do not.

It is a genuinely good fit for:

  • Teams looking for a mid-year or year-end bonding session with some actual physical energy
  • Companies onboarding a new batch of hires who need to break the ice fast
  • Sales or ops teams that spend most of the week behind a desk or a screen
  • Groups who have already done the usual dinner-and-drinks or escape room circuit

Where it does not fit, and we will say so

Here is the honest part. This is not the right format for a low-energy event. If your team is expecting something seated, quiet, or purely conversational, a pad-work session is going to feel like the wrong pace for the room. It is also not ideal squeezed into a fifteen-minute slot between meetings, since people need time to warm up and actually get into it.

If your goal is a genuinely active session where people move, sweat a little, and end up talking to colleagues they do not normally work with, this fits. If your goal is a calm networking mixer, it does not, and we would rather tell you that upfront than have your team show up expecting the wrong thing.

What to wear and what to bring

Comfortable workout clothes and sneakers or training shoes. That is the full list. Khao Noi Gym provides gloves, pads, and hand wraps for everyone in the group, so nobody needs to buy or bring equipment. If some of your team wants to wrap their own hands, we can talk them through it, but it is not required.

Location and getting there

Khao Noi Gym is at 50 Jalan Benaan Kapal, a short walk from Stadium MRT. For a Singapore-based company, this makes it an easy add to a half-day or full-day offsite, and easy enough that people can head back to the office straight after if needed.

Pricing and group size

Pricing depends on group size and how long you want the session to run, so we would rather give you an accurate number than a generic one. Groups from roughly 8 to 40 people work well in our space, and we can adjust the format depending on whether you want a tight 60-minute session or a longer 90-minute one with more rounds and drills.
